Q: What do you do to stay healthy and in shape as you prepare for a pro season?
- A: I currently work at Monmouth as a graduate assistant and I work out every day with Bri Rubino, our men’s and women’s soccer strength and conditioning coach.
***
Q: Favorite movie?
- A: Hot Tub Time Machine and Miracle
***
Q: How did you get recruited for college?
- A: Recruiting is tough coming from Texas. I spent many weekends on the east coast playing in showcases and sent my highlight video to every coach in division one.
***
Q: Who was your favorite lacrosse player growing up and why?
- A: Buggs Combs is a close family friend who was an All-American at Maryland and went on to play for the Bayhawks for several years. Since our families are so close I always looked up to him.
***
Q: What do you do when you are not playing lacrosse?
- A: I am either playing golf or studying.
***
Q: What motivates you in lacrosse?
- A: I’ve always had an underdog mentality in my career. I was under recruited in high school so in college I wanted to prove everyone wrong. I was drafted second to last in the draft last year so in the pros I have been working to prove that being picked so late was a big mistake.
***
Q: If you could meet one person in the world who would you pick?
- A: Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon. I’d love to see the mindset of the man who runs the largest company on Earth.
***
Q: Best restaurant you’ve ever been to?
- A: Lavo off 5th Ave in New York City
***
Q: If you could be anything aside from being a professional athlete, what would it be?
- A: I am heading into law school at the University of Miami starting in August. I have always wanted to get into Sports and Entertainment Law as an agent. So, I guess that is my answer, I would want to be an agent.
***
Q: What would your last meal be?
- A: A 12oz steak with McDonald’s fries and mac and cheese.
***
Q: If you could go back and give your 8 year old self one piece of advice what would it be?
- A: I would tell him that when things get tough, the best thing to do is to put your head down, block out all the noise, focus on what needs to be done and do it. It will pay off in the end! I’d also give him a list of all the Super Bowl winners
